Rose Marie Tarver-Davis

Rose Marie Dunn Tarver-Davis, 71, of Humble, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Palms Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Rose was born April 14, 1944 in Liberty, to parents; J. W. and Rosa McMillian Dunn, a former resident of Livingston, and resided in Humble. She graduated nursing school, and was a retired dispatcher from the Livingston Police Department, as well as Tyler County and San Jacinto County. She was also a member of the Atascocita Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and playing cards. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, father of her children: Melvin Ray Tarver, Sr., husband: Billy Davis, daughter: Melissa Ann Sanders-Davis, grandson: Brandon Cory Sanders, and brother: Jessy Wayne Dunn. She is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Ellis and husband Charles of Humble, sons: Melvin Ray Tarver, Jr. of Livingston and James Earl Tarver of Oklahoma, sister: Judy Dunn-Stafford, brothers: James, Ronny, George, Leon, Arthur Dunn, and Wesley McMillian, grandchildren: Thomas, Bradley, Lacey, Tony, Dillon, and Cody Tarver, Ashley Nicole Sanders, Matthew Woods, and Caitlin, Chelsey, Carleigh, and Christopher Ellis, great-grandchildren: Stormie Sanders, Jayce Woods, Abigail Tarver, Landon Sanders, Billy Jack Tarver, Jr., and Mason Ray Bollier, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. To those who desire, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Rose’s name.
