Roger Comstock, Sr., 69, of Rye, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2015, at the Squier Cemetery in Cleveland, with Pastor Bob White from Liberty Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Roger was born June 26, 1946 in Buffalo, New York, to parents; Alton, Sr. and Lavina Hirsch Comstock, a former resident of Cleveland, and has resided in Rye for the past 24 years. He was a retired supervisor for Brown and Root and attended the Assembly of God. He also enjoyed playing golf, dancing, gardening, cooking, his yard work, and spending time with his family. Mr. Comstock was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Mary “Penny†Woods Comstock of Rye, sons: Roger “Buddy†Comstock, Jr. of Nevada and Craig Comstock and wife Jerri of Cleveland, daughter: Michelle Sledd and husband Scott of Cleveland, stepdaughter: Monica Cooper and husband Tony Nelson of Splendora, brothers: Alton Comstock, Jr. of New York, Allen Comstock of New York, and Dale Comstock of New York, sisters: Debra Hilliard and husband Wesley of North Carolina and Denise Munday of North Carolina, 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
