Robert Vernon Clark

Robert "Tencie" Vernon Clark, age 86, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012. He was born September 26, 1926 in Coldspring, Texas to parents Jack B. Clark and Allyne Guthrie Clark who preceded him in death along with his wife Billie Jean Clark; his son Larry Joe Lackey; and his brother Charles Clark and James Clark.Mr. Clark was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed trail riding and playing "42". When his wife was still living they loved to dance. He enjoyed pulling his grandkids around behind his tractor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.Survivors include his sons Johnny Lackey and wife Dixie, Donald Lackey, and Richard Bock; daughters Sandra Gruhn and husband Paul, Lynda Tuttle and husband Ron; daughter-in-law Ana Lackey; brother Jack Clark; sisters Edna Burke and Louise Whatley; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends.Visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held Saturday, October 20, 2012, 12:00 Noon at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.
