Robert Timothy "Tim" Jones, aged 62, passed away peacefully in Dayton, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love. He was born on January 16, 1962, in Englewood, California, to the late Robert Lee Jones and Shirley Rae Edwards Jones.
Tim was a man of many passions, but none as profound as his love for nature and animals, he found solace and joy in the great outdoors. Tim had a remarkable talent for fixing things, a skill he generously shared with anyone in need. His friendly demeanor and compassionate heart endeared him to people from all walks of life, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
In addition to his love for nature and his knack for repair work, Tim also appreciated the simple pleasures of life. He relished the taste of a well-cooked steak and took delight in indulging in Dairy Queen tacos. However, perhaps his greatest joy came from watching his beloved granddaughter, Harper Broz, play soccer, a pastime that brought him immense happiness and pride.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Jones and Shirley Rae Edwards Jones, and his sister, Marilyn Jones Peter. He is survived by his loving daughter, Hayley Jones, his cherished brother, Sam Jones, and his dear sisters, Debra Turner and Linda Jones Zbranek. His memory will also be cherished by his granddaughter, Harper Broz, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a multitude of friends.
A visitation to celebrate Tim's life will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Pastor Steve Hankins.
