Robert E. “Bobby†Ford, 70, of Cleveland, died Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at the Rural Shade Baptist Church with burial following at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Bobby was born March 21, 1943 in Houston, to parents; Spottswood B. and Thelma Mae Raymond Ford, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Cleveland for the past 38 years. He was a graduate of the M. B. Smiley High School class of 1961, received his Associates Degree in Engineering from Houston Community College, was a veteran of the US Coast Guard, and a member of the Rural Shade Baptist Church. He also enjoyed dirt track auto racing, spending time with his family, and boating. Mr. Ford was met at the gates of glory by his father: Spottswood Burl Ford, mother: Thelma Mae Raymond Ford, and brother: Patrick Ford. He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Sandra G. Condray Ford of Cleveland, daughters: Kimberly Ford Coleman and husband Paul of Tarkington Prairie and Tammy Ford Jolley and husband Victor of Huntsville, AL, sisters: Elizabeth Ford Sturgill of Willis, Evelyn Ford Yates of Livingston, and Kathleen Ford Bauer of Livingston, grandchildren: Brittany Erin Bledsoe and husband Kevin, Caleb Nathan Jolley, Jake Jolley, and Sophie Jolley, great-grandson: Luca Bledsoe, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
