Robert Earl Manuel, 78, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Graveside services will be held at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Robert was born July 24, 1938 in Holcomb, Mississippi, to parents; Earl and Mary Dell Manuel, he has resided in Dayton for the past 15 years. He is a retired veteran of the US Air Force, proudly serving his county for twenty years. He was a quality control manager for most of his career lastly retiring from Piping Technologies of Houston. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cleveland where is served as an Elder. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Carolyn.
Mr. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, brother: George Manuel, and sister: Gail Manuel. He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Carolyn Bearden Manuel of Dayton, daughter: Michelle Manuel and husband Randall Ward of Dayton, son: David Manuel of Dayton, brother: Fulton Manuel of Virginia, granddaughters: Megan Trowbridge and Michaela Williams and fiancé Andrew Kelly with one great-grandson, Sebastian on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
