Robert Clayton Brown

Robert Clayton Brown, 73, of Dayton, died Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Heritage Villa Nursing Home in Dayton. Cremation services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Robert was born June 8, 1941 in Highlands, to parents; Robert A. and Rachael E. Barnett Brown, and has been a lifelong resident of Dayton. He was a pipefitter by trade and enjoyed fishing and camping. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father: Robert E. Brown, mother: Rachael Ellen Barnett Brown, and brothers: Richard Brown and Elvin Brown. He is survived by his sons: Robert C. Brown and wife Minnie of Beaumont, Steven L. Brown of Midland, James C. Brown of Houston, Dean C. Brown of Dayton, and Todd E. Powell and wife Lisa of The Woodlands, daughter: Sherrill Lewis and husband Steve of Arlington, brothers: Doug Brown of Tarkington Prairie, John D. “J.D.” Brown of Mississippi, and Melvin Brown of Pittsburgh, sisters: Jean Martin of Kenefick, Vivian Blankenship of Pittsburgh, and Theresa Brown of Mississippi, 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
