Robert John Baker, age 58, passed away on August 13, 2023, in Dayton, Texas. He was born in Temple, Texas, to parents Mickey Baker and Wendy Parsons. As a small child, he moved to Dayton, Texas, where he spent his entire life immersed in the community he cherished. Robert was a graduate of Dayton High School and remained deeply connected to his alma mater.
In recent years, Robert's spiritual journey led him to discover a profound connection to Christ, guiding him towards attending Church with the guidance and support of his friends. He found solace and strength in his faith, which brought him comfort and purpose.
An integral part of his community, Robert had a passion for bringing people together. He was known for his exceptional barbequing skills, often preparing delicious meals for his friends and neighbors.
Sports held a special place in Robert's heart from a young age. He grew up with a love for various sports and took great joy in cheering for his favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Braves.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Mickey Baker and Wendy Parsons, who undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the person he became. Robert is survived by his brother, Randy Baker, and Randy's wife, Amanda, of Beach City. Additionally, his sister, Catherine Kloesel, and her husband, Mark, of Livingston, survive him. He also leaves behind nieces Ashley Roznovsky, Laura Kingman, and Chloe Baker, who will carry forward his memory with love.
At this time, no formal services have been scheduled for Mr. Baker. The family appreciates the thoughts, prayers, and support from friends and well-wishers during this challenging time of loss.
