Rita Gay Meadows

Rita McPherson Meadows, 69 of Crosby passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 in Baytown, Texas. She was born August 15, 1948 in Greenville, Alabama to parents, Robert Martin McPherson and Nettie Lois Jordan.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Dayton First Assembly of God Church. Services for Rita will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at Dayton First Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas. All arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.

Rita was a lifelong resident of the Crosby area. She was a member of Maranatha Church in Mont Belvieu and former member of First Assembly of God in Dayton. She enjoyed puzzles and fishing. Rita loved her family especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her son, Clarence L. Meadows, III and several sisters. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 48 years, Clarence L. Meadows of Crosby; her daughter, Tina Cox and husband Matthew of Crosby; grandchildren, Tasha Murray and husband Michael and Joshua Cox and wife Leanna; great-grandchildren, Addison Murray and Titus Cox; also several brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends.
