Rip Rene Yawn, 52, of Dayton died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Liberty. He was born October 9, 1957 in Long Beach, California to parents Jack and Charlene Cannaberry Roach. He was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Dayton High School in 1977 continuing his education at Lee College. Rip enjoyed taking care of his yard and landscaping, playing checkers and hunting. He was a member of Our Father’s House Church. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton with Rev. Edward Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the funeral home. Mr. Yawn was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 34 years: Cindy Conley Yawn of Dayton; his sons: Derrek Yawn and wife Alaina of Dayton, Braden Yawn of Dayton, and Christopher “Boogie” Yawn and wife Megan of Dayton; two grandchildren: Haven and Preston; brother: Todd Gear and wife Jennifer of Los Angele; sisters: Cathy Sample and Sherri Star both of Los Angeles; four nieces, one nephew, other relatives and a host of friends.
