Richard Scott, Jr.

Richard Scott, Jr., 69, of Dayton, Texas passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at home. Richard was born October 12 1949 in Warick County, Virginia to parents Richard Scott, Sr. and Christine Elizabeth Andrews Scott.

Richard had lived in Dayton for the past 20 years after moving from Crosby. He was a self-employed truck driver. He drove for Asphalt Transportation Incorporated. Richard enjoyed riding his Harley and was a talented carpenter. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Annette Scott of Dayton; his children, Lynette Sanders of Austin, Cathy Sampson(Richard) of Baltimore, NY,Nikki Arceneaux of Kileen, Carlton Mulligan of Yorktown Virginia, David Mitchell, Jr. of Dayton, Angela Scott of New Orleans, David Butleman, Alayna Durio(Rondale,Sr.) of Dayton; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Perkins of Clear Lake; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be 6pm Friday October 11, 2019 at Dayton Community Center.
