Richard "Ricky" Allen Brannen

Richard "Ricky" Allen Brannen, 57, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on June 26, 2024. He was born on April 20, 1967, in Miami, Florida, to his loving parents Timothy Joiner Brannen and Carlene Fay Wingo. Ricky was a cherished member of the Dayton community, having graduated from Dayton High School with the class of 1985.

For the past 20 years, Ricky dedicated himself to B & M Construction, where he contributed significantly to commercial construction projects. Beyond his professional life, Ricky found great joy in his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and basketball player, and his allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys knew no bounds.

Ricky's most cherished moments were spent with his children and grandchildren. He delighted in taking them out on his boat, where they enjoyed tubing, fishing, and crabbing together. His love for family was deep-rooted and unwavering.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debbie Olivas, and his grandparents Carson and Marie Wingo, Donald and Lois Richard. He is survived by his son Justin Brannen and wife Brittany, daughter Kayla Brannen, sister Melissa Mason and husband Corey, grandchildren Aliyah, Cali, Justin Jr., and Jordan, nephews Cory Jr., Zachary Mason, Gabriel Olivas, and niece Kymber Olivas, and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Ricky's warmth, humor, and love for his family and friends will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
