Rev. Lyndol “Chief” E’Don Kinser, age 75 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019. He was born December 29, 1943 in Muleshoe, Texas to parents Noah Kinser and Doris Twaddell who preceded him in death along with his brother, Jim Kinser.
Lyndol, affectionately known to his relatives and friends as “Chief” was a man of many talents. He traveled down many different career paths throughout his life such as corporate pilot, crop duster, cotton ginner, upholsterer, made rubber stamps, machine operator, manager for Eckerd’s, barge tender, manager of Olton Seed and Delinter, and he also owned a sprinkler company. Chief was also an avid reader, a man of great faith, a loving husband, father and grandfather, and veteran stationed in Korea. Rev. Kinser loved to serve people. He was a police officer in Littlefield and Olton, Texas. Lyndol served as Pastor at Simmons Bottom Assembly of God Church for 17 years. After retiring he became a member of Peace Tabernacle Assembly of God. Chief will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Glenda Kinser; son, Jimmy Kinser and wife Julie; daughters, Sherree Kinser, Kristal Alldredge and husband Juan; grandsons, Chad Beeson, Jason Beeson, Christopher Hopkins, Taylor Hopkins, Justin Kinser, Andrew Alldredge and Noah Alldredge; granddaughters, Jocelyn Furguson and Sementa Alldredge; brother-in-law, Gary Cooper and wife Jimmie; fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Rev. Kinser will be laid to rest at Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas with military honors immediately following his funeral.
