Raymond Lee Shaw, age 81 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, May 22, 2013 in Conroe, Texas. He was born in Fostoria, Texas in 1931 to parents James P. and Ida R. Shaw who preceded him in death along with his brothers James “Sonnyboy†Shaw and Norman Ray Shaw; and his sister Helen “Babe†Smith. Mr. Shaw was a distinguished Veteran of the United States Air Force. He served during 1950 – 1954 in the Korean War. He retired as Chemical Process Operator from Dow Chemical. He was a devoted Christian and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Texas. He loved his family and will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating. Survivors include his son Randy Lee Shaw; daughters Glenda Lynn Shaw and Brenda Kaye Bayley; brother Douglas Allen Shaw and wife Linda; grandchildren Toni Lee Strahan, Vera K. Bartlett, Anna Mae Welch, Heather Kaye Bayley, and Randy Lee Shaw Jr.; great-grandchildren Shelby Lee Young, Logan Pierce, Alexis Page, Mackynzie Ryan, Julien Isaac Martinez, Tucker Graham Riley; numerous other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.
