Raymond “Ray” Hoornstra, 53, of Atascocita, died Monday, March 19, 2012, in Liberty. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Ray was born November 21, 1958 in The Netherlands, to parents; Wilhelm “Bill” and Corrie Venix Hoornstra, a former resident of Port Neches, and has resided in Atascocita for the past seven years. He was a graduate of the Nathan Hill High School class of 1977, attended Tulsa University, and was employed by Tracer International as a material management specialist. He also enjoyed soccer, reading, and riding bicycles. Mr. Hoornstra is survived by his wife of seven years: Kim Braeunig Hoornstra of Atascocita, daughter: Victoria Gelino and husband Jordan of Stillwater, OK, stepsons: Ryan Granger of Mauriceville and Teague Granger of Mauriceville, parents: Bill and Corrie Venix Hoornstra of Tulsa, OK, sister: Karin Robinson and husband Mark of Kingwood, nephew: Reed Robinson of Kingwood, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
