R. C. Bailey

R.C. Bailey, age 83 and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at his home. He was born in Romayor, Texas in 1929. Mr. Bailey was a distinguished Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an iron worker in the construction profession by trade. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and steadfast friend; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Ebb and Tina Bailey who preceded him in death along with his daughter Lillie Katherine (Kathy) Bailey; two sisters Bernice Neely and Eunice Hicks; nephew Jerry Wells, niece Ruth Neely, three great-grandbabies; and one step-grandson Justin Scott Interisano. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, 2 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days Louise Bailey; daughter Debbie Bailey; sons Russell C. Bailey and Ebbie L. Bailey and wife Nancy; eleven grandchildren Al, Chris, Autie, Kim, Kathy, Russ Jr., Brit, Emm, Dan, Zack, and Justin; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister Ina May Wells of Lufkin; brother-in-law Charles Godejohn; sister-in-law Betty Squire-Butler; two very special friends Gary Sutton and Delbert Stephens; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Gary "Jerry" Sutton and Bro. Melvin Holifield will preside over funeral services held Thursday, May 16, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery.
