Pauline Parish, age 101 of Tarkington Prairie, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. She was born August 7, 1914 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents Henry M. Heath and Katy F. Fausett who preceded her in death along with her husband of over 55 years, Travis O. Parish; sons, Wayne Parish and Terry Parish; brothers, Ernest Heath, Harold Heath, Curtis Heath, Hollis Heath, and Buddy Heath; and brother-in-law, Douglas Lawrence. Survivors include her son, Edwin Carter Parish and wife Katherine; sister, Lucille Lawrence; grandchildren, Barry, Pam, Rusty, Gary, David and Deborah; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family members and friends. Pauline graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1930 where she ran track, and played volleyball and basketball. She was an active member of the Rural Shade Baptist Church for over 65 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, vegetable gardening, family gatherings, flowers and farming. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. A graveside service will follow starting at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.
