Pauline Merrell

Pauline Ann Merrell, passed away September 11, 2014 at her home in Cleveland, Texas. She was born in Reading, England on February 7, 1939 to Henry and Dorothy Wells Maskell. She loved the Lord dearly, and her family was very important to her. She enjoyed knitting and sewing. She traveled the country and the World with her husband Pete before settling down in Cleveland with her family. She retired from Walmart in 1998 after twenty years of service at the Cleveland location. After retiring from Walmart, Pauline volunteered her time to the annual summer reading programs at the library. She also enjoyed working with the children during vacation bible school at Bear Creek Baptist Church.
Services for Mrs. Merrell will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Bear Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Jones and Rev. Don Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Cleveland. Visitation for Mrs. Merrell will be 5:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m., Friday, evening at Pace-Stancil.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Dorothy Maskell; brothers, Laurenee W. "Bill" Maskell, Roy Maskell, Pete Maskell, and Paul Maskell; sisters, Doreen "Nip" Maskell, and Bessie Szwagrzyk; granddaughter, Brandy L. Merrell. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Oliver Gene "Pete" Merrell; children, Diana Merrell and James Bingham, William Merrell and wife Audry, Richard Merrell and wife Chris, Mary Cohn and husband Otis; sisters, Dorrit OMara, and Sue Wright; grandchildren, Sarah Gaskins, Janee Merrell, Christopher Merrell, Iain Bingham, Ruby Merrell, Brian Barber; great grandchildren, Caleb Merrell, Maya Wixted, and Jacob Wixted; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
