Paula Jane Wagoner Blankenship

Paula Blankenship passed away on Jan. 1, 2021 in Conroe, Tx. She was born on May 24, 1924, in Wichita Falls, Tx. to Pauline Beer Wagoner & the late Finis Wagoner. Finis passed away on Jan 1, 1924, 5 months before Paula's birth in May.

Paula married R.L. (Bob) Blankenship in August of 1940. They were partners in the Skyline Country Club in Wichita Falls in the 60's, before moving to Houston in the 701s. She and Bob retired from Mitchell Energy, where Bob was a golf pro and manager of Cape Royale, and Paula ran the pro shop.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 1990, her father, Finis, 5 mo. before her birth in 1924, her mother, Pauline Phillips, her stepdad, Joe Phillips, and brother, Bobby Joe Belcher.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy and wife Deena of Coldspring, Tx, daughter Sarah Standley of Montgomery, Tx, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
