Paul Petropolis, 63, founder of Angels In Action, a cancer outreach ministry, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Paul, a loving husband, devoted father, and beloved friend lost his courageous, 6 year battle with Stage IV colon cancer.
In 2008, Paul and his wife Susan began Angels in Action to reach out and support others in the struggle of cancer. The mission of Angels in Action is to serve those suffering with cancer and their families by offering time and resources for encouragement, comfort and hope through our Lord Jesus Christ. This ministry serves any and all cancer patients, survivors, those in remission and any family touched by this disease. Angels in Action is committed to stand by all those affected long after the first diagnosis. Paul turned cancer into a victory every day of his life, and touched more lives than we will ever know this side of Heaven. His legacy will touch countless more.
Paul is survived by his wife, Susan, his daughter, Alexis, his son Nicholas, his daughter and her husband Paula and Brady, his daughter, Michelle, four grandchildren, his mother Juline, and sister, Nikki and her family. He was preceded in death by his father William (Bill) Petropolis.
A memorial service for Paul Petropolis will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 11, at Copperfield Church, 8350 Hwy. 6 N., Houston, TX 77095. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to Angels in Action in care of Copperfield Church, or Houston Hospice.
