Cleveland

Patricia Ann Lum Yeager, a devoted wife, and mother went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2024. Patricia was born in Cleveland, Texas on October 3, 1963 to proud parents Roy Lum and Virginia Johnson Lum.

After high school, Patricia married the love of her life, James Yeager. Being the first couple to get married in the Cleveland Hospital was just the start of a wonderful marriage that lasted 41 years. Patricia and James’  bond was a testament to enduring love, weathering life's joys and challenges with unwavering support for each other.

Patricia’s life was marked by a fulfilling career with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, serving as a corrections officer for over 18 years. She truly enjoyed her line of work, and her selfless service to the community made a lasting impact on others.

Patricia’s passion for life was evident in everything she did, from the fishing trips with her beloved husband, to the care she put into decorating their home during the Christmas season.  Her craftiness knew no limits; whether it was creating Halloween costumes, baking a cake for a birthday, or singing gospel tunes, Patricia did it all with a grace and joy that was truly her own.

A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Patricia's love knew no bounds. There was no greater joy she had than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to Patricia, with her husband and kids being her whole world.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Virginia Lum; father-in-law, Floyd Curtis Yeager; brother-in-law, Thomas Wayne Yeager. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, James Yeager; daughters, Jacy Patrick and husband Ryan, Brandy Pate and husband Bobby, Jessica “Jamie” Currie and husband Crockett; grandchildren, Breanna Nacol and husband Lucas, Zachary Patrick, Daniel Pate, Dylan Pate (Krista), Erin Pate, Abigail Pate, Eva Pate, Wade Currie, Eli Currie, Kutter Currie; great-grandchildren, Remington Pate, Gatlain Pate, Rainley Knight Nacol, and baby Knoxlyn Blair (on the way); brother, Bobby Lum; sisters, Brenda Spangler, Angelia Edwards; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
