Pamela Diann Hurley was born July 14, 1952 in Cleveland, Texas to parents, Rev. Roy L. Hurley and Frances L. Everitt Hurley. She went to her Heavenly Home on February 2, 2024 in Corrigan, Texas at the age of 71. She was a lifetime resident of Cleveland, Texas. Pamela graduated from Cleveland High School in 1971, she received her Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1975, and her Masters Degree in 1984. She began her teaching career at Shepherd Primary for two years and went to the Splendora ISD where she taught for 24 years. Pamela was an excellent 4th grade teacher where she taught Gifted and Talented classes. She attended the Gospel Lighthouse, Splendora UPC, and The Sanctuary in Cleveland, Texas. She loved her neighbors and was a very kind soul to everyone she met.
Pamela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Weldon and Velma Everitt, Arthur and Phobe Hurley; parents, Rev. Roy Hurley and Frances Hurley; sister, Kimberly Hurley; cousins, Charles Wayne Everitt and Donovan Everitt. She is survived by her cousins, Tebbie Dillon, Chandra Gressett and husband Robert, Caleb Dillon and wife Vanessa, Morgan Everitt and husband Cody, Kailynn Dillon, Maicie Gressett, and Tessie Dillon.
Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 1-2pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm with Bro. Ronald Culberth officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be, Caleb Dillon, Robert Gressett, Walter Pleasants, Brock Pleasants, Dexter Mattis, and Cody Everitt.
