Otha Wayne Howsen

Otha Wayne Howsen, born January 19, 1952, in Ashley County, Arkansas, to parents William Thomas Howsen and Ida Bernice Walters Howsen, passed away peacefully in Cleveland, Texas, on December 20, 2024, at the age of 72. Wayne was a dedicated truck driver for over 38 years, embracing the open road with a passion that defined his career. When not on the road, he cherished the simple pleasures of home and relaxation.

Wayne was preceded in death by his loving parents. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 26 years, Edeltraud Gilmore; his son, Gary Wayne Howsen; and his sisters, Evelyn Sanders, Paula Wehring, and Heather Kneer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. 

Wayne had a deep love for horses, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and found joy in the companionship of his fur babies. Another fun fact about Wayne, he had a deep love for Elvis! You would see him working his porch chop Elvis sideburns back in the 1970s. 

At this time, no services are scheduled, a future graveside service will be planned in 2025. Arrangements are under the trusted care of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. 

Wayne's life was marked by a spirit of his driving adventure and love for his family and animals. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
