Oran "Wayne" Faircloth

Oran “Wayne” Faircloth of Coldspring, TX passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Wayne died peacefully with his only child Tammi by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents Oran C. Faircloth, Thelma Elizabeth Faircloth Pilgrim and his loving wife Betty Jean Williams Faircloth.

Wayne was born May 15, 1938 in McCamey, TX. He grew up in Crane, TX and eventually ended up in Odessa, TX where he met and married the love of his life, Betty. They were married in August 1961, had a daughter in 1964 and were together for 58 glorious years.

Wayne enjoyed many pursuits in life such as fishing, music, carpentry and working on projects. He loved being the “center of attention” which served him well in the oilfield classroom where he taught many men and women. He loved his church, the Lord God Almighty, his family and friends.

Survivors include daughter Tambra “Tammi” Diane Thompson and husband Daniual Scott Thompson of Nacogdoches, TX; grandson Daniual Brett Thompson and wife Molly Doyle of Jacksonville, TX and grandson Oran Chase Thompson and fiancé Katy Parmer of Nacogdoches, TX.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Coldspring, TX with Rev. Mariann Rayne officiating.
