Opal Fay Beverly

Opal Fay Beverly, age 95 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was born March 26, 1921 in Shepherd, Texas to parents Paralea Lovett and Obie Jeffcoat who preceded her in death along with her husband, Philip Byrd Beverly; daughter, Sally Kate Williams; son, Robert Wayne Beverly; infant child, Baby Beverly; brother, Paul Madison Jeffcoat; sister, Mattie Lea Wright; grandsons, John Riley, Mikel Cecil and Robert Chearles “Robb” Williams; great-grandchildren, Joshua Nathaniel Lee Williams and Amber Grace Basye. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.

Survivors include her sons, Charles “Bud” Beverly and wife Jan, Lester Earl Beverly; sister, Lillian Lovett and husband Cecil Ward; grandchildren, Philip Stanley, Carlton Lee and Chadron Bremond Williams, Leah Ann, Gary James and Charles “Dobber” Beverly Jr., Kevin Wayne and Kelcy Wynette Beverly Robinson, Philip Travis, Andy Lee and Angel Beverly Brassell; nineteen great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, and a mountain of other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Shepherd, Texas.
