Lifelong educator, Dr. Nylds R. Hinch, completed his mission on December 17, 2011. Dr. Hinch was born February 20, 1938 in Vidor, Texas to parents Emerson Hinch and Eleanor Stephenson Hinch. Nylds lived life with an eternal purpose and was ever mindful of God’s call.
Together with Mary Kelly Hinch, his wife of 51 years, Nylds served others. Their home was open to all who needed shelter and Nylds never turned his eye from one in need. In addition to his service as a teacher and principal, Nylds was a Scoutmaster, Sunday school teacher, prison ministry coordinator, maintenance coordinator for First Baptist Church of Liberty and a member of the Liberty Gideon Camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, Lowell Hinch. Nylds is survived by his wife, Mary Kelly Hinch of Liberty; his daughters, Karmen McGee and husband, Russell of Bryan, Karen Adams and David Liberty; his son, Wesley Hinch and wife Kimber of Liberty; brother, Marion “Doodle” Hinch of Toledo Bend; his grandchildren, Molly, Aaron, Betsy, Hanna, Hayley, Clayton, John Emerson, Matthew, and Dinah; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Services for Dr. Hinch are at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Liberty. Interment will follow at Cooke Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the purchase of bibles to spread the gospel of Jesus through Liberty Gideon Camp No. 4215.9, P.O. Box 90, Liberty, Texas 77575.
