Nona Nora Wolf Tippit, 97, formerly of Dayton passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at her home in Sugarland. She was born August 26, 1914 in El Campo, Texas to parents Arnold Frederick Wolf, Sr. and Paula Bender Wolf. She graduated from El Campo High School and had been a long time resident of Dayton before moving to Sugarland. Mrs. Tippit was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church and formerly attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Liberty where she was active in the Alter Guild. She was also a member of the Lakata Club in Dayton.
Services for Mrs. Tippit will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2012 at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Liberty with interment to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tippit was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 75 years, Morgan M. Tippit of Sugarland; her daughter, Karen Tippit Glass and husband Leo of Missouri City; her grandsons, Paul Morgan Glass and David Michael Glass; her great grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Glass, Paul Michael Glass, Allyson Margarette Glass, Andrew Morgan Glass, Susannah Michael Glass, and Allen Michael Glass; her great great-grandchild, Addison Morgan Glass; her brother, Arnold Wolf, Jr. and wife Bess of Fredericksburg; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
