Noel Denton Risener

Noel Denton Risener was born April 2, 1948 in Key West, Florida to parents, Warren Porter Risener and Ruth Sample Risener. He passed away February 1, 2025 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 76 years. Noel proudly served our country in the US Navy from 1970-1976. In the Navy he developed a passion for nuclear mechanics and his last assigned duty was on the USS Skipjack. After returning home from the Navy, he was put in charge of developing nuclear power plants. Noel met the love of his life, Polly Jean Ratliff, and they were married. Polly and Noel spent many fond years together and were always by each other’s side. Polly passed away in 2018 and Noel couldn’t wait to be reunited with her. 

Noel was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Ruth Risener; wife, Polly Jean Risener. He is survived by his beloved sister, Neva Van Hook. Noel will be laid to rest along with his wife at the Houston National Cemetery on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:15am. Military Honors will be provided by the Houston Honor Guard.
