Nita Beth Jefferson, age 85, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011. She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on August 19, 1926 to parents, James Clark Guthrie and Lydia Orlean Guthrie who preceded her in death along with her husband, Peerless Jefferson and her brother, James Guthrie.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Kelley and husband, Tommy, Diane Gretencord and husband, David; son, Charles Jefferson and Donna; sister, Jo Bailey; sisters-in-law, Jackie Guthrie and Mary Jefferson Yeary; grandchildren, Rany Robertson and Beth Schulke, Tom Kelley and Brandy Lott, Clark Jefferson, Bill Kelley and Jennifer Rorick, Jeremy Gretencord and Cindy Garcia, Sunny Marsh and Jeremiah Banks; great-grandchildren, Makayla Jefferson, Levi Jefferson, Ileigh Lott, Landon Kelley, Lexi Banks, Brynna Banks, Isacc Garcia, Ian Gretencord; her dearest friend, Ruth Wood; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and treasured friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Dr. Jay McIntyre will preside over funeral services being held Wednesday, August 24, 2011, 3:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with burial immediately following at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery.
