Nickie Jay Johnson

Nickie Jay Johnson, age 61, and lifetime resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, October 05, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital after a hard battle with cancer. He was born September 17, 1951 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Joseph C. and Ina Johnson who preceded him in death along with his brother Max Dedman.Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Mikki Johnson; daughter Jodi Pickering and husband Jesse Pickering; sister Janice Dedman Hope; grandchildren Emma Johnson and Chesley Johnson; numerous other cherished family members and a host of faithful friends beyond measure. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 07, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Billy Walker will preside over funeral services being held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 08, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Dudley Keng, Lowell Thompson, Wayne Steward, Phillip Morrow, Neil Lowery, Barry Johnson, Rick Maness, and Ernie Lewis Glenn; honorary pallbearers include Tony Hope, Acie Johnson, Lamar Kelley, James Donald Johnson, Jerry Glenn, Chester York, Carl Ray Glenn, and Charles Coe.
