Nick C. Campise, 83, of Dayton, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan with burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Nick was born April 27, 1930 in Caldwell, to parents; Charlie and Mary Urso Campise, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 25 years. He was a retired warehouse foreman for Gulf Coast Fasteners and member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and raising animals. Mr. Campise was preceded in death by his father: Charlie Campise, mother: Mary Urso Campise, sisters: Grace Palomo and Lula Jebbia, and brothers: Joe, Vincent, Phillip, Norman, Sam, Tony, and Paul Campise. He is survived by his sister: Frances Cuevas of Houston and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
