Neva Marie Conner Moore, 93, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016, in Dayton.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Huffman Cemetery in Huffman. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Marie was born September 9, 1923 in Houston, to parents; Lee and Dorothy Elsey Parker, and has been a lifelong resident of Dayton. She was a cafeteria cook for Dayton I.S.D. and member of the Gum Grove Baptist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, church activities, reading her bible, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Haze Conner and Verlon Moore, daughter: Hattie Marie Wade, one brother, and numerous sisters. She is survived by her son: Eugene H. “Gene” Conner and wife Jenny of Dayton, sister: Dorothy Few of Dayton, son-in-law: Bill Wade of Dayton, grandchildren: Katy Miller and husband Jeff, Scotty Tauber and husband Mark, Matt Conner, Brett Conner and wife Amy, Lisa Wade, and Bryan “Bubba” Wade, great-grandchildren: Amber Wade, Kolby Wade, Dani Ward, Casey Ward, Haze Conner, Hollis Conner, Harrison Conner, Harper Conner, Kaelinn Marie Tauber, Karlee Tauber, Holden Miller, Sterling Miller, and Janson Miller, great great-granddaughter: Brynn Marie Diamond, numerous other relatives, and friends.
