Nancy Martha Mansfield

Nancy Martha Mansfield, age 78 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born June 12, 1935 in New York, New York to parents Edward and Helen Eppler who preceded her in death along with her brother-in-law Jim Lambert; and her uncle Henry Eppler. She was the youngest of two and spent the early part of her life in Jackson Heights, New York. She married the love of her life in 1959 and they raised their family from New York to Houston, Texas. She worked for Texaco, Crossing Guard, St. Paul Mother’s Day Out Preschool Teacher, and an Avon Representative. She was a graduate of St. Michael’s High School; she loved to travel, and she was a volunteer at Care Share Food Pantry. She was a member of St. Stephen The Martyr Catholic Church for 20 years and very involved with her church and church family. She lived life with a heart full of love. She was kind and giving, tender hearted and deeply devoted to her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Care Share Mission of San Jacinto County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 818, Coldspring, Texas 77331-0818. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years Elliott Wesley Mansfield; daughters Diane Werner and husband Steve of Clarksville, Arkansas, Karen Strickland and husband Shane of Round Rock, Texas, and Eileen Mansfield of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Andrea Schluterman, Lindsey Werner, Allison Werner, Eric Strickland, Connor Strickland, Mitchell Montalvo; sister Betty Elizabeth Lambert; nephews Chris Lambert, Michael Lambert, and Doug Lambert; numerous other cherished family members and treasured friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 14, 2013, 5:00-8:00 p.m. (Rosary at 7:00 p.m.) at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen The Martyr Catholic Church, 101 Stage Coach Dr. at Hwy 156, Point Blank, Texas 77364 with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Pallbearers include Steve Werner, Shane Strickland, Eric Strickland, Connor Strickland, Mitchell Montalvo, and Doug Schluterman.
