Myrtle Moore Winsett, 92, of Dayton, passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at a care facility in Baytown. She was born October 3, 1925 in Oakhurst, Texas to her late parents, Henry Moore and Mary Hare Moore.
Myrtle had currently lived in Dayton for the last 5 years and previously was a longtime resident of Kerrville, Texas, after moving from McAllen, Texas, where she met and married her husband V.V. Winsett. She was a retired interior home designer and was a Military Veteran. She was a generous and loving person to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, V.V. Winsett; son, Vernon Winsett and brothers, Allen Moore and Floyd Moore.
She is survived by her brother, Leo Moore and wife, Georgia from Dayton; her two loving nieces and care givers, Judy Headrick and Tonya McFatridge of Dayton, along with many other nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Also surviving are, grandson, Wayne Winsett from Breckenridge, Texas; granddaughter Beth Ann Winsett and three great-grandchildren, Callie, Cassidy, and Charlie from Canyon Lake, Texas.
Services will be held in Altus, Oklahoma at the Altus City Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on February 3, 2018.
