Murrie Gene Kinney, Sr., 87, of Kenefick, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Cedar Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Baytown.
Murrie was born November 10, 1928 in Houston, to parents; Murrie Austin and Lou Edna Myers Kinney, and has been a resident of Kenefick since 1978. He was a retired pipefitter from Rohm and Haas Plastics and Baptist by faith. He also enjoyed reading, movies, yardwork, and especially spending time with family.
Mr. Kinney was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Elsie Campbell Kinney of Baytown, son: Murrie Gene Kinney, Jr. of Dayton, daughters: Jenny Allen and husband John of Baytown and Kathy Muckleroy of Baytown, grandchildren: Kristy, Holly, Lori, Nikki, Mindy, Bryan, and James, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Cedar Bayou Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care given to Mr. Kinney.
