Morris Garrett

Morris Layne Garrett, age 65, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. He was born May 29, 1945 in Houston, Texas to William Harvey and Ima Jean Garrett who preceded him in death along with brothers, William Oren Garrett, Ronald Harvie Garrett and Samuel Allen Garrett. He leaves behind his loving wife, Odessa Ann Garrett; son, Edward Layne Garrett, Irvin Joseph Garrett and wife, Melissa Wynette; daughter, Rhonda Ann Usher and husband, Kenneth Wayne; sister, Rita Maude Castrow; grandchildren, Michael Garrett, Stephanie Garrett, Kristopher Usher, Amber Usher, Samuel Garrett, Morris Layne Garrett, and Erica Jean Garrett; numerous nieces, nephews and other treasured family members and a host of faithful friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Monday evening, January 17, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with Randall McLauren officiating.
