Morgan Mcclelland Tippit

Morgan M. Tippit, 102, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Sycamores Senior Living Center in Sugarland.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton.

Morgan was born June 25, 1914 in Tarkington Prairie, to parents; Morgan M. and Laura Thomason Tippit, a former resident of Dayton, and has been a resident of Sugarland for the past 15 years. He was a retired rice farmer, 50-year member and former Grand Master of the Masonic Lodge, and member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church. He also enjoyed lunches with friends and playing golf.

Mr. Tippit was preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 75 years: Nona Wolf Tippit. He is survived by his daughter: Karen Glass and husband Leo Murl, grandchildren: Paul Morgan Glass and wife Janet and David Michael Glass and wife Celeste, great-grandchildren: Jennifer Marie McKellop and husband Rick, Paul Michael Glass and wife Julie, Allyson Margarette Glass and husband Fahri, Andrew Morgan Glass and wife Amelia, Susannah Michal Thomas and husband Harrison, and Allen Michael Glass, great great-grandchildren: Addison Morgan Glass, Leo Raiden Glass, Lilly Marie McKellop, Richard Addison McKellop III, Ela Rose Glass, and Eren Han, numerous other relatives, and friends.
