Monda Kay Kibrige Jacobs, 67, of Dayton, died Monday, June 29, 2015, at Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas. Monda was born July 21, 1947 in Dover, Ohio, daughter to the late William E. and Clara E. Frank Kibrige. Formerly a resident of Atascocita, she had resided the past four years in the Dayton area Monda was a graduate of the Middletown High School class of 1965, attended Flint Community College, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and served as the 3rd District Chairperson of the Louisiana Girls State Program. She was a talented musician and passed these musical talents on to her children and grandchildren. Monda was an avid animal lover and enjoyed watching movies, shopping online, making jewelry, and bird-watching. She was also a sports fan and enjoyed watching tennis and baseball. Monda is survived by her husband of 43 years: Jake Jacobs of Dayton, daughter: Lori Jacobs Cyr and husband Richard, II of Atascocita, son: Frank Jacobs and wife Margo of Colorado, brother: William “Bill†Kibrige, III of Ohio, grandchildren: Morgan Cyr, Bailey Cyr, Felicity Jacobs, Madilynn Jacobs, and Grant Jacobs, along with numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Monda’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015, at the Atascocita United Methodist Church in Atascocita, Texas. Pastor Deborah Proctor will officiate. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help cover Monda’s medical expenses.
