Millie Dean Smith

Millie Dean Smith, 84, went home to be with the Lord on September 15th, 2024. Millie was born to parents Dorsey Albert Beard and Millie E. Whitmire Beard on February 11th, 1940 in Conroe, Texas.

Millie was a loving homemaker and mother, who poured her heart into creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. When she got free time, in her earlier years, she loved to hunt and fish. More recently, though, she could be found sewing away at her sewing machine. Millie also adored her dog Cookie, who held a special place in her heart.

Known for her strong faith in the lord, Millie enjoyed the sense of community that going to church provided her with. She was proud to be an original member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church.

Millie will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Millie is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dub Smith; parents Dorsey and Millie Whitmire Beard; son-in-law, John Wright; grandson-in-law, John Sweeten Sr..
