Mildred Ruth McCants, age 85, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 04, 2012 at her home. She was born June 03, 1927 in Thornton, Texas to parents John Wesley Beard and Emma Frances Wingard-Beard who preceded her in death along with her husband of 51 yrs Robert Joseph McCants, her sisters Bess Polk, Jessie Lammers, Joyce Bjorge, and Loyce Loosmore; and her brothers: Orville Beard, J.W. Beard, Howard Beard, and B.C. Beard.Survivors include her daughter June Williams and husband Del; sons Billy Joe McCants and wife Joyce, Jack G. McCants; sister Nita Jones and husband Joe; grandchildren Van McCants, Vickie Weikert, Laura Hoyt, Karen Whiting, David Craft, and Amanda Dolney; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.Visitation will be held Monday, October 08, 2012, 5:00 � 8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Bro. Gary Ladner will preside over funeral services being held Tuesday, October 09, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church, Evergreen, Texas with interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers include Van McCants, David Craft, Ty Dolney, Scott Whiting, Mike Hoyt, Ben Loosmore, Jonathan Hoyt, and Tom Weikert.
