Michael Leonard Gutierrez

Michael Leonard Gutierrez, 74, of Dayton passed away September 24, 2019. Michael was born October 3, 1944 in Houston, Texas to parents Vincent Jack Gutierrez and Juanita Perez Gutierrez.

Michael had lived in Dayton for the past 25 years after moving from Groves. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed photography and watching sports. He loved his family and especially being with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Jamie Wallace.

He is survived by wife, Joe Ann Gutierrez; son, Sean Gutierrez and wife Barbara; daughters, Donna Cook, Kayce Jares; brothers, Patrick Gutierrez and wife Donna; sisters, Marguerite Hirsch and husband Vincent and Mary Jo Wilt and husband Jerry; grandchildren, William Gutierrez and wife Brandi, Lauren Gutierrez, Charissa Jones and husband Michael, Stephan Wilson and wife Amanda, Shalee Ionescu and husband Alex, Keera Benavides and husband John and Ethan Jares; eleven great- grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Michael did not want a memorial service but a celebration of life party which will happen towards the end of October.
