Michael “Mike” Joseph Dupont, 66, of Dayton passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018. Mike was born August 14, 1951 in Fruitport Michigan to parents Joseph and Kathleen Dupont.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton. Services for Mike will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home with Rev. Howie Howeth officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dupont was a longtime resident off Dayton after moving from Michigan. He graduated from Fruitport High School in 1970. Mike proudly served during the Vietnam Era in the United States Navy on the USS Edenton. He was currently employed as project manager at Lone Star Exhibit in Houston. Poppy as he was fondly called by his grandchildren will be sorely missed by them. He loved being with them and they cherished the fun times with him.
Mike is survived by his wife Josephine Annette Dupont of Dayton; his children, Angela Talley and husband Lafe, Robert Reece and wife Annette, Marlena Farrell and husband Mike, Rainey Threadgill and wife DeDe; his grandchildren, Anna and Ryder Talley, Clovr, Doon, and August Reece, Atley and Aiden Farrell, Bailey, Riggs, Della, and Drake Treadgill; his siblings, Lona Levandoski, Daniel Dupont, Veronica Adame and husband Manuel, Mary Dunn and husband Mark, Connie Johnson, and James Dupont and wife Karen; also numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Steve Dupont
