Michael James Dawson

Michael James "Mike" Dawson, born October 17, 1960 in Houston, TX, passed away January 30, 2011 in Sterling Virginia. He was currently employed with U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security – Transportation Security Administration (TSA), assigned to the Headquarters Staff in Washington, D.C. He was previously employed many years with Air France Air Cargo - Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, and Dulles, VA. He attended Garden Villas Elementary School, Hartman Junior High - Houston, TX, Conroe Junior High, Conroe, TX and graduated in 1980 at Tarkington High School , - Tarkington Prairie, TX, where he participated in the athletics program on football and track teams.
Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Wilma Cash Dawson and his brother Steven Arnold "Steve" Dawson. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Michele "Becca Boo" Dawson -18 years old and Laurie Danielle "Laurie Lou" Dawson- 16 years old of Sterling, Virginia; his father J.A. "Jim" Dawson and mom Charlotte Williams Dawson of Cleveland, TX; brother Richard Allen "Ricky" Dawson of Texas City, TX; sisters Sharan Larie "Faircloth" Ganucheau and husband David of Montgomery, TX and Charlotte Faye Faircloth of Conroe, TX; step-brother Stanley Chapman of Richland, TX; beloved friend and sweetheart and guardian angel Linda Turpen Burnett of Lufkin, TX; best friend (brother) Bob Crouch of Bumpass, Virginia and childhood good friend David Small of Cleveland, TX; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and faithful, true friends, especially with Air France Air Cargo.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 11, 2011, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery.
