Michael Benjamin Humphrey

Michael “Mike” Benjamin Humphrey, 56, of Dayton passed away on February 10, 2022 in Springfield, Illinois. Mike was born May 21, 1965 in Atoka, Oklahoma to parents Hubert Benjamin Humphrey and Ruth Leonda Humphrey.

Mike had been a resident of Dayton for the past 22 years after moving from Beaumont. He had worked in management for several companies and had currently worked for Brookhart Contractors for one and a half years. Mike enjoyed all of his animals especially his Harley Girl who traveled everywhere with him. Mike loved to sing and especially loved to help people. His family meant the world to him and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Benjamin Humphrey and Ruth Leonda Bennett Humphrey; his sister, Waburn Lyons; brothers, Floyd Thomas and wife Debbie, Hubert Humphrey and wife Pat. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Karen Humphrey; daughter, Tara Jones and husband Nathan; sons, Aidan Humphrey and girlfriend Anna and Michael Humphrey, Jr. and fiancé Stacy Gosell; grandchildren, Karter Humphrey, Rylee Jones, and Reagan Jones; uncle, Nick Bennett and wife Daulphin; nephew, Hubert Humphrey, Jr.; also other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service for Mike will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Grace Community Baptist Church, Dayton. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
