Melvin Franklin Jackson

Melvin Franklin (commonly known at JR) Jackson, Jr., age 64 and a resident of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. He was born December 10, 1948 in Cleveland, Texas. He was a Maintenance Supervisor in the Petroleum industry by trade. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and steadfast friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2013, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at The Sanctuary, 100 S. College Ave., Cleveland, TX 77327. Interment will be at Wells Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin F. Jackson, Sr. Survivors include his loving wife, Sue Glass Jackson; mother Gladys Whitmire Jackson; son, Trevor Jackson and wife Lori Wilson Jackson; daughter, Tara Jackson Stoneberger and husband Chris Stoneberger; grandchildren, Bryan Jackson, Grant Stoneberger, Tyler Jackson, Chase Stoneberger, Olivia Stoneberger, Hannah Jackson, and Hillary Jackson; nephew, Brad Glass; niece, Amanda Glass Stuckey; numerous other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.
