Melody Sherrill Rhame

Melody Sherrill Rhame, 64, of Dayton, passed away, Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Melody was born November 9, 1954 in Nederland, Texas, to parents, Wesley and Velma Perry Read.
Services for Mrs. Rhame will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Rhame, Chris Lee, Charlie Palermo, Tim Rhame, Cecil Rhame, and Cody Rhame.
Melody lived in Dayton since 1993. She enjoyed fishing, camping, sitting by the fire and loved the beach.
Melody was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 27 ½ years, Gene Rhame; her son Michael Rhame and wife Rene; her daughters, Melody Gibson, Melissa Gibson, and Shandalynn Rhame; brother, Dub Read and wife Ronda; sister, Kelly Lee and husband Chris; grandchildren Aleigha Gibson Lilburn (USN) and husband, Jaden, Jhayden Rhame, Kaylen Rhame, Trysten Tanner, Mayson Rhame and Destynee Tanner; also numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition, Mrs. Rhame was expecting her first great-grandchild.
