Mayme Montgomery Holloway, 98, of Coldspring, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, in Livingston.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 13, 2017, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Gustine, Texas. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Mayme was born February 2, 1919, in Glendale, Arizona, to parents; Mark and Mary Ellen Dooley Montgomery, and has been a resident of Coldspring for the past 17 years. She was a seamstress by trade; her interests included sewing, quilting, reading, gardening, and cooking.
Mrs. Holloway was preceded in death by her parents, father of her children: Vollie Brown, husband: Bee Holloway, sons: Allen “Dale” Brown and Johnny Wayne Brown, brothers: Wesley and Pete Montgomery, sisters: Florence Foster, Effie Mae Cox, and Hazel Johnson, grandchildren: Keith and Kenny Eddlemon, and granddaughter-in-law: Mandy Eddlemon. She is survived by her daughter: Jean Clark of Coldspring, grandchildren: Leta Looney and husband Larry, Sandra Eddlemon, Kevin Eddlemon, Christin Brown, Clinton Brown, Danny Joe Brown and wife Lori, Alicia Brown, Sarah Brown and husband Dusty Mica, Chris Brown, Jan and Taylor, great-grandchildren: Hollye Musella, Kayla Bridges and husband Jason, Michelle Eddlemon, Becky Cook and husband Bill, Kristen Eddlemon, Kraig Eddlemon, Klint Eddlemon, Kandace Eddlemon, Emily Eddlemon, numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
