Maxine Trousdale Edmonds, 85, of Dayton passed away Friday, February 24, 2017.
Graveside service for Mrs. Edmonds will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Magnolia Park Cemetery with Brother Jose Flores officiating.
Maxine was born October 2, 1931 in Rosenberg, Texas to parents James William Trousdale, Sr. and Clara Ritchie Trousdale. She was a graduate of Dayton High School in 1949 and purple was her favorite color. Maxine loved her family and her church, the Community Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and playing solitaire. Maxine was a longtime member of the Westlake Volunteer Fire Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest Edmonds, brother James, and brother-in-law Elmer Pruitt. She is survived by sons, Roy “Odell” Edmonds and wife Paula and Elton Edmonds and wife Pam; sister, Mae Beth Pruitt; sister-in-law, Ruth Edmonds; brother-in-law, Clarence Edmonds; grandchildren, Clarissa and partner DJ, Roy, Daniel, Jared, Paige and husband Brent, Christian and wife Pam, Shannon and wife Amanda, Seth, Zack, Brice and wife Kristin, Mathew and wife Jamie, Nick, Cara and husband Michael, Patrick, Michael, Keith and wife Janine; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Caden, Isabel, Rose, Teresa, Ava, Ethan, Maximillian, Liz, Nick, Rhionna, Tayler, Genesis, Josie, Jaythan, Callie, Axel, Natalee, Thomas, Haydn, Colton, and Jade; also numerous other nieces, nephews, her church family, friends and the West Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
