Matthew Donald Ellisor, Jr., 52, of Anahuac, died Monday, October 5, 2015, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015, at the Assembly of God Church in Anahuac, with services concluding thereafter. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Friday, at the church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Matthew was born April 11, 1963, in Pasadena. He was a graduate of Galena Park High School and a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed fishing, anything about wolves, and especially a full blooded wolf he raised named Dakota. Matthew will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Ellisor was preceded in death by his sister: Janet Davis, and nephew: Ronald Davis, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Violet Adams Ellisor of Anahuac, sons: Adam Ellisor and fiancé Kayla of Houston and Charles Ellisor of Colorado, mother: Barbara Wilson Ellisor of Mt. Belvieu, stepsons: Dustin Mathews and wife Miranda of Lufkin and Keith Mathews and wife Krissy of Jasper, stepdaughter: Kristy Fowler and husband Derrick of Onalaska, half-daughter: Michal Roy and husband Dustin of Mt. Belvieu, sister: Sherry Koenig and husband Chris of Huntsville, six grandchildren, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
