Mary Beth Temme, age 93 and a resident of Conroe, Texas, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at her home. She was born in Lufkin, Texas on May 19, 1920. Mary Beth was a 1939 graduate of Jeff Davis High School, Houston, Texas. She worked as switchboard operator for Southwestern Drugs in Houston then moved on to retail banking teller for Northeast National Bank in Houston and Franklin Bank in Houston; later she joined the food service department at Houston Northwest Medical Center in Houston. She then found in her heart to become a caregiver until medical conditions prevented her from working. Mary Beth lived life with beauty, grace and a heart full of love. She had a passion for dancing and big band music from the 1940s era. She considered you a friend with the first meeting. She was very outgoing, loved having a good time with friends and family. She considered her family as her greatest accomplishment in life. She loved going to her great-grandchildren’s sports activities and was a true fan. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Texas. She had a real soft spot in her heart for animals; always had two or more animals around at any time. “Sandy” and “Sweetie Pie” will miss her greatly. She is forever rejoined with the love of her life and husband of 55 years Frederick C. Temme; she is also preceded in death by her parents William Bascome Moore and Nanny Beatrice Snowden Moore; sisters Beatrice Moore, Ada Kennerly, and Claudia Fenley; brothers Edgar Moore, Leslie Moore, Eugene Moore, and George Moore. She was a devoted mother to her sons Frederick Charles Temme and wife Maisie, William Gregory Temme and wife Clara; her daughters Janis M. Smedberg, Cynthia A. Enloe and husband Kenneth; three sisters, four brothers, eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years. A special thank you for her Caregiver, Rose Maxwell, and Altus Hospice in The Woodlands for their service and loving help.
